Thankful Sign/ Pinterest vs Reality

**I am only crafting what I have in my garage from 9/26/2013-10/31/2013. That is an important fact to remember in the month of October.
Free Printable Thankful Photo Board
                                                   Reality                                          Pinterest

This month I am all about using what I have to create.  I love this sign that Shanty2Chic created last week and I was inspired to make one.  I have had a stack of black/white pictures ready to craft with since summer.  I also had a board that when trimmed was the right size.  The ribbon was left over from another project.  My printer is on the blink so I found some precut letters left over from some project of long ago.  I am not in love with how the letters look.  I made this for a present.  I am going to make another one for my Thanksgiving mantel with other letter.

 Step 1: Gather materials
I had printed some black/white pictures last summer when I was going to make my MIL a thank you gift for hosting us all at the river.  Did I make it? NO!  So today is the day.
I found some letters.
I decoupaged some scrapbook paper and the letters to a board that was in the scrap pile in the garage.
I backed my pictures on black cardboard so the won't curl.
My clips are different, but they were what I had.

I drilled two holes and attached some ribbon which I think ties it all together.
I am going to give it to my MIL next week when I see her.
Since I am posting this early I guess we will find out if she really reads my blog!

    1. Thanks! I have been reducing my stash this month. I am not posting on this blog much anymore. It was taking more time than I had to give. I am not sharing a blog at www.craftdictator.com. I post every Sunday and Thursday.
Come by and check it out.
